Ancient Apothecary Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Hailing from the fresh leaves of the towering evergreen eucalyptus tree, eucalyptus essential oil is a truly refreshing, exhilarating experience. Eucalyptus essential oil is sometimes known as Black Peppermint Oil. It is steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of the tall evergreen tree that is native to Australia.

Eucalyptus oil has a distinctive aroma and taste, but is colorless with numerous beneficial properties. It is often used in mouthwashes, inhalers, rubs, liniments and rash creams. During World War I, eucalyptus was widely used for its significant cleansing benefits.

Eucalyptus Uses

  • Add to a spray bottle with water and use it to wipe down surfaces in your kitchen or bathroom.
  • Mix with a carrier oil and rub on chest when for a cleansing aroma.
  • Place a drop in your morning bath.
  • Diffuse for an invigorating experience.
  • Place one drop in your hand, rub hands together and inhale.
  • Make a DIY cooling, refreshing spray by placing several drops in a spray bottle (plus peppermint oil, if you’d like) and spritz on the body

Ancient Apothecary Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil

With a light and fresh lemony smell with earthy undertones, Lemongrass is stimulating, relaxing, soothing, and balancing.

Purifying and toning to skin, lemongrass oil, with its herbaceous aroma, is a favorite for massages, since it acts as an  overall bodily tonic.

Its cleansing and firming effects for the skin make it a go-to addition to skincare and cosmetic products, including soaps, deodorants, shampoos, lotions and tonics. It also works well as an air freshener and deodorizer, especially when blended with other essential oils, such as geranium rose and bergamot.

Lemongrass Uses:

For diffusion, lemongrass blends well with cardamom, basil or peppermint oils.

  • For an amazing post-workout massage (or anytime), combine equal parts of coconut oil or another carrier oil and lemongrass.
  • Add a drop of lemongrass oil to flavor favorite recipes.
  •  To use as a supplement, add one drop to four ounces of water or place a drop in an empty supplement capsule and consume.
  • For a refreshing foot bath, add two drops into a bowl of warm water and soak feet for 10 minutes.
  • As a natural insect repellent, dilute lemongrass oil and then rub or spritz on skin prior to going outside.
  • To soothe occasional joint or muscle discomfort, combine equal parts of a carrier oil and lemongrass oil, and rub topically on areas of concern.
