Organic Dong Quai Root Extract

Organic Chaste Tree Berry Extract

Also known as “Vitex,” this balancing herb traditionally viewed as a female-friendly fruit and is generally used for supporting female health.

Organic Astragalus Root Extract

Rooted in TCM, this adaptogenic perennial plant is also known as milkvetch root and Huang-qi and is hailed for its health benefits.

TCM Formulation

A formulation more than 2,000 years in the making and built using the TCM (Traditional Chinese Method) of formulation, Ancient Multi Women’s 40+ features the time-tested superstars of TCM to bring a holistic approach to your daily multivitamin. Using the traditional Chinese approach to wellness, the aim is to tap into centuries-old ingredients and practices to support the body as a complete system rather than separate organs, a larger concept known as “Qi.” TCM ingredients aim to balance and support qi, also known as life force.

Balancing, 3-Kingdom Approach

Honoring TCM, Ancient Multi Women’s 40+ contains specific superfood and botanical combinations time-tested through the ages. This includes a broad-spectrum of potent, TCM-approved ingredients joining together for the first time in multivitamin form to include superfoods and superherbs from multiple kingdoms: The Fungi, Plant and Animal Kingdoms.

Body-Ready Vitamins and Minerals

We did the work so your body doesn’t have to. Ancient Multi Women’s 40+ contains bio-friendly vitamins, herbs and minerals while offering a gentle, “body-ready” form of each ingredient, such as methylated vitamin B12 and other B vitamins.

Pairs Well With

If you’re looking for an added perk, try pairing Ancient Multi Women’s 40+ with Ancient Probiotics Women’s Once Daily to reap the benefits of two time-tested wellness methods

Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene)

Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes from two sources: preformed retinoids and provitamin A carotenoids. These retinoids are found in animal sources such as eggs, liver and dairy products like whole milk, while provitamin A carotenoids come from colorful plant foods like fruits and vegetables. Beta-carotene typically leads the pack in most efficiently making retinol, a pre-formed, active form of vitamin A.

Probiotic-Fermented Vitamin C

Found mostly in fruits and vegetables, this essential vitamin is known for its powerful antioxidant properties and for its general benefits for supporting a healthy response to stress.†

Probiotic-Fermented Vitamin D3

Vitamin D plays a role in up to 2,000 genes and in every single tissue and cell of the body, yet 75 percent of American teens and adults don’t get enough. The immune-supporting vitamin D3 in this formulation is your body’s preferred form compared to vitamin D2.

Natural Vitamin E

A fat-soluble vitamin with many important processes in the body, this bioavailable, natural vitamin E also functions as an antioxidant.

Soy-Free Vitamin K (MK-7)

Vitamin K belongs to compounds called nanphthoquinones and that includes vitamins K1, K2 and K3. Overall, vitamin K plays a strong role in bones and normal bone metabolism. Vitamin K2 also generally functions to ensure calcium gets to the right places in the body, such as the bones and teeth and not in the arteries or brain.

Generally speaking, vitamin K2 also functions to activate at least three proteins in osteoblasts, the cells that generate bone, while inhibiting the breaking down of bone. Vitamin K2 occurs in several forms, but two primary types are menaquinone-4 (MK-4) and menaquinone-7 (MK-7). MK-7 is a preferred form of vitamin K2, and the vitamin K2 in MK-7 form in Ancient Multi Immune Support Formula is soy-free.

Fermented and Coenzymated B vitamins

B vitamins serve as essential helpers in the conversion of food to energy. And while they do not directly provide that energy, they do assist the process. In fact, the vitamin B complex includes eight water-soluble vitamins: thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin B-12, biotin and pantothenic acid.

This well-rounded vitamin B complex offers individual health benefits but work together in several ways. B vitamins are also water-soluble, so they need to be replenished often (if not every day) through diet and/or supplementation. The vitamin B-12 in Ancient Multi Men’s 40+ is in the preferred methylcobalamin form, the form that’s typically the easiest for the body to use.

Calcium

An organic source of calcium derived from organic, U.S.-produced eggshells, this form of calcium is body-friendly.

Iron

Traditionally a blood-building mineral, iron used in supplements sometimes tends to trigger digestive distress. Luckily, this formula utilizes iron that’s gentle on the digestive tract.

Iodine

Our iodine is derived from an enzymatic process which bonds amino acids to minerals: chelation. Chelated minerals, such as our iodine, generally have easier absorption rates.

Magnesium

One of the most crucial minerals, magnesium is involved in more than 300 biochemical functions in the body, such as regulating heartbeat rhythms and helping neurotransmitter functions.

Enzyme-Activated Zinc

An essential mineral that’s second only to iron in its concentration in the body, zinc is often referred to as the “intelligence mineral.” Functionally, the liver also needs zinc in sufficient amounts so it can mobilize and release stored vitamin A into the bloodstream.

Fermented Selenium

An essential mineral to support thyroid health†, selenium can also play a role in generally supporting men’s overall health.

Manganese

As an essential nutrient that’s usually tied to iron and other minerals, manganese plays a role in numerous chemical processes, including synthesis of nutrients like cholesterol, carbohydrates and proteins.

Chromium

A hard and brittle metal, chromium is a trace mineral needed by the body.

Organic Dong Quai Root Extract

Traditionally referred to as ““women’s ginseng,” this balancing, sacred herbal remedy used in TCM is generally viewed as an overall health supporter for women. It features ferulic acid, coumarin, various polysaccharides and more than 70 other powerful compounds that can offer positive effects.

Organic Fo-Ti Root Extract

A plant native to China and used in TCM, Fo-Ti is traditionally known as a longevity tonic treasured for its nourishing and strengthening effects. It features lectins, chrysophanic acid, chrysophanol, emodin and other components that are believed to give this herb its beneficial properties.

Organic Lycium Berry Extract

Also known as “wolfberry fruit” or goji berries, lycium berry has been used in TCM since about 200 B.C. Its benefits even appeared in “Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing,” an ancient book detailing the health and farming knowledge of the mythical Chinese emperor Shen Nong.

Organic Schisandra Berry Extract

An adaptogenic berry utilized in traditional Chinese herbalism for thousands of years, schisandra berry is a prized ingredient.

Organic Chaste Tree Berry Extract

Also known as “Vitex,” this balancing herb traditionally viewed as a female-friendly fruit and is generally used for supporting female health.

Organic Sage Leaf Extract

Sage is a go-to ingredient in TCM — and it’s been that way for thousands of years. Traditional herbalists use sage in tea or even mouthwash to help stimulate wellness.

Organic Chinese Yam Root Extract

In China, it’s called Shan Yao, but people also refer to it as Chinese potato or cinnamon-vine. Generally speaking, Chinese yam extract may have “balancing” benefits for women.

Bovine Liver

An ancient nutritional powerhouse, liver is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet. Containing vitamins A, D, B12, B2, B3, B5, B6, omega-3s, iron, folate, zinc and more, this liver from grass-fed New Zealand cattle is amazing.

Bone Broth

Our ancestors simmered bones, marrow, feet, skin, tendons and ligaments for days to create bone broth containing collagen, proline, glycine and glutamine. Our chicken bone broth comes from U.S. sources we trust, while our beef bone broth is derived from Europe.

Organic Astragalus Root Extract

Rooted in TCM, this adaptogenic perennial plant is also known as milkvetch root and Huang-qi and is hailed for its health benefits.

Organic Chaga Mushroom Extract

Generally, chaga mushrooms boast a high antioxidant value. Antioxidants function to fight free radicals.

Organic Reishi Mushroom Extract

Known as the “King of Mushrooms,” the reishi mushroom is an edible type of beneficial fungus cherished for thousands of years. Also known as Ling Zhi in Chinese, TCM utilizes reishi traditionally and generally to support the immune system.

Wild Hake Roe

One of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet, fish eggs are high in phospholipids. Fish eggs are an excellent source of protein and essential fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins. The Omega 3s are often higher in roe than the fish itself. Our wild hake roe is sourced in New Zealand and is Marine Stewardship Council Certified.

The Traditional Chinese Method (TCM) is a system of wellness that dates back more than 2,000 years and is still practiced today. It works on the belief that Qi (which loosely translates to “vital energy” and is pronounced “chee”) is essential for overall health. TCM principles adhere to the idea that proper Qi is needed to keep all systems in balance.

This ties into the concepts of yin and yang, defined as opposing but complementary energies. According to TCM, like Qi, yin and yang negatively affect your health when they’re out of balance. That being said, a primary goal of TCM involves balancing their equalizing relationship.

One of the ways to do that involves using specific superfoods and herbs. TCM superfoods and superherbs aim to tonify, or increase the available energy of an organ part or system of the body. TCM aims to create balance in the body as a whole to promote wellness and Qi. When the yin and yang aspects of Qi are harmonized and balanced out, a person typically experiences wellbeing.

Both TCM and Ayurveda approach the body in a balancing way. They both address energy flow, circulation and balance in the body. For instance, that energy is referred to as “Qi” in TCM and “prana” in Ayurveda.

While there is overlap in some of the botanicals used in both TCM and Ayurveda, each tradition also utilizes specific plants and foods. Ayurveda was born out of India, so often recommends traditional herbs and foods widely available in that region. TCM often focuses on botanicals and fungi more readily available in China. While TCM may utilize more animal products, Ayurveda does tend to recommend more dairy, like ghee, compared to TCM.

In essence, TCM and Ayurveda are different ways to approach wellness and balance from different regions of the world.

This product is intended for women in their prime looking for support for cognitive health, healthy energy levels and overall women’s wellness.

This line uses a combination of organic vitamins, fermented vitamins and minerals, enzyme-activated minerals, coenzymated vitamins, natural vitamin forms and specially selected ingredients to creative body-friendly nutrients designed for ease of absorption. For many Americans, the diet consumed isn’t nutritionally adequate. In fact, approximately two-thirds of the standard U.S. diet is made up of unhealthy fats and refined sugars with low or no nutrient density — providing calories but not the amounts of vitamins and minerals needed, including vitamins A, B Complex, C, D, E and the minerals calcium, magnesium and zinc.

More specifically, typical diets contain less than 80% of the RDA for calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, and manganese—and the people who are most at risk for coming up short on those nutrients are adult women and teenage girls.

Here’s the truth: If two-thirds of the standard U.S. diets are coming up short on certain nutrients, then the remaining one-third of the average diet may not be so great, either, and cannot possibly fully meet a person’s nutrient needs. One great way to get more vitamins and minerals into your diet is to include nutrient-dense, real foods. Unlike our Standard American Diet, nutrient-dense foods can deliver a vitamin-packed and mineral-packed wallop. In addition to a nutrient-dense diet, some opt to take a multivitamin to help cover their bases.
