Product Overview

With a unique name such as ylang ylang, it’s no wonder it’s derived from equally unique star-shaped flowers, and supports healthy hair and skin, plus promoting positivity and a sense of calm—all wrapped up in a sensational scent.

Ylang ylang is the name of a tree native to Indonesia—a tree famed for its fragrant flowers as well as its powerful essential oil, and the name “ylang ylang” comes from the Tagalog term ilang-ilang for the tree—a double pronunciation of the word ilang, meaning “wilderness.”

Frequently used in luxurious skin and hair products, ylang ylang offers nourishing benefits plus antioxidant support. With a slightly floral scent that, too, is unique, ylang ylang is a favorite for women’s fragrances and products, but can be used as middle note for men’s fragrances and products.

The main components of ylang ylang are benzyl acetate, benzyl benzoate linalool, caryophyllene, geranyl acetate, methyl benzoate, p-cresyl methyl ether and sesquiterpenes, all of which contribute to its exquisite aroma and beneficial properties.

Ylang ylang blends well with geranium rose, lavender, bergamot, grapefruit, sandalwood and vetiver oils.
